UAC is going on ANOTHER ski trip... but this time, to the winter sports mecca of Mammoth Lakes! With an average of over 400 inches of snow a year and over 300 days of sunshine a year, Mammoth Mountain is a ski and snowboard addict's winter paradise for bluebird days.

Mammoth Mountain is certainly one of California’s best ski destinations. For skiers, snowboarders, or anyone who loves winter, this alpine paradise is a must-visit. Apart from skiing and snowboarding, we can go tubing, sledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing... the winter activities are endless.

We'll spend our days on the slopes covering the unbelievable terrain with some stunning mountain scenery as our backdrop.  Fun Fact: Mammoth is a training mountain for the US Olympic Snowboard and Freestyle ski teams.

We can take a scenic ride on Mammoth's gondola. After ascending to Mammoth's summit at 11,053 feet, we'll be rewarded with 360-degree panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We can also have lunch up here at Eleven53 Cafe, said to be the highest cafe in California.

We'll grab some beers in town at the fun-loving Mammoth Brewing Company. Known for being the highest brewery on the West Coast, it sums up the personality of Mammoth Lakes perfectly: cheerful, rustic, and quirky, yet also inviting and friendly.

Bodies sore from shredding? There is no shortage of incredible hot springs waiting for us in Mono County, including the ever-popular Travertine Hot Springs and Wild Willy's. Nothing beats soaking in naturally heated geothermal waters while gazing out onto an epic view of the snow-covered Sierras while crisp winter air brushes against your face!

We'll be staying in a spacious 3.5 bedroom condo with stunning views. Natural light flows through the living room and kitchen, providing a mountain ambiance. After a full day of skiing, we can soak our bodies in the community hot tub.

In typical UAC friend-family fashion, we'll share group meals where we enjoy some delicious food and drinks after a long day on the slopes. This is the kitchen where the magic will happen.

There are a couple different ways to get to Mammoth. United flies into Bishop (BIH), but airport transfer is required. Rental cars are another option. Carpooling from the Bay Area is also possible.

There will undoubtedly be plenty of snow for us to play around in. Don't miss out on this adventurous destination worthy of at least a few days of your vacation time!
