Alta Trail is a 4.7 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Sausalito, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
This is a long but gradual climb from the eastern side of the Marin Headlands. This fire road is in really great shape so makes it easy to meander along. We'll walk the first stretch (~2.3 miles), have a picnic lunch, and head back.
Join us for a beautiful hike in Marin County overlooking Sausalito and the Bay.
