Grab your gear. Pack your bags. We’re going skiing in Breckenridge, Colorado!!!

Considered by many to be one of the best ski resorts in Colorado, Breckenridge combines unique character with unmatched terrain to stand out from the rest. This world-class mountain boasts an average of 366 inches of annual snowfall.

For the skier and rider that wants it all, it’s hard to do better than Breck. There are five huge peaks, nearly 3,000 skiable acres and 11 bowls. With some of the country’s best high-alpine terrain, accessed by North America’s highest chairlift, Breck consistently offers great conditions well into the spring.

We’ll change things up and head over to Beaver Creek or Vail one of the days. Arguably the most luxe ski experience in the U.S., Beaver Creek takes pampering to the extreme with big perks and small ones, like complimentary, just-baked chocolate chip cookies handed out in the base area daily at 3 p.m. Vail spans 5,317 acres with seven legendary Back Bowls, made up mostly of intermediate-to-advanced and ungroomed terrain, plus some killer vertical (the Forever trail in Sun Down Bowl drops an exciting 1,850 feet).

In addition to skiing and snowboarding, there are tons of other activities to do in the area. We can go tubing in Frisco, outlet shopping in Silverthorne, and ice skating in Keystone. We can either get there via our rental car or easily hop on the free bus service that allows you to get to all these places from Breckenridge.

At night, we’ll check out some local eateries such as Rita’s for their tacos and margaritas or Empire Burger for their bison burger with green chile on it and we’ll finish off with some delicious crepes from the famous Crepes A La Cart.

It’s not a true ski trip without some nightlife so we’ll start out at local watering holes such as Downstairs at Eric’s, Ollie’s Pub, or the Gold Pan Saloon. We’ll finish out the night with some dancing at Liquid Lounge.

When we’re not out on the slopes or exploring the town, we will hang out and relax in our awesome three bedroom townhome. We can warm up by the fireplace or soak our sore bodies in the private outdoor hot tub. It’s conveniently located only minutes to the gondola via the free bus service that has a stop across the street from us.

On Sunday, we’ll check out of our Breckenridge lodging and make our way back to Denver. We’ll spend the afternoon and evening exploring the pedestrian-friendly 16th Street Mall, grab a delicious burrito from Illegal Pete’s, and try some award winning beer from one of their dozens of breweries all within walking distance.

This March, join us as we venture east to explore the highly talked about Rocky Mountains for five days! Those with an Epic Pass will especially love this trip as Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, and Keystone are all included in the pass and closely located to each other!
