Let’s escape the city and head to Pinnacles National Park this 3 day holiday weekend!

California’s newest national park is home to cliffs, crags, and cave formations that were formed by an ancient volcano. The steep climbs along the hiking trails give way to excellent views. Majestic California condors swoop along the tallest points of the park. The unique geology is a must-see for any fan of the Earth.

We’ll start out on the Condor Gulch to High Peaks Trail which will take us by Bear Gulch Reservoir and even some caves! As we go up to High Peaks, we’ll get to take in the whole park and truly experience the Pinnacles. We may even be able to see several condors up close which are now labeled as critically endangered!

We’ll also go on the Balconies Cave Trail. This hike is a great opportunity to explore one of the natural talus caves of Pinnacles National Park. Climb your way through twisting, turning passages once inside. The trip through Balconies Cave will leave you wanting more, and you may actually venture back through the cave a second time before deciding what to do next.

When we’re not busy hiking or exploring the park, we’ll head back to our beautiful house located less than 15 minutes away from the East Entrance. This quaint spacious ranch has 4 bedrooms, a wood burning fireplace, and even a foosball table! It’s the perfect place to relax after a big day of hiking.

Join us as we spend the long weekend exploring this under the radar park filled with beautiful views and interesting varied landscapes which have easy access to climbing, hiking and caves. The opportunities for fun are endless!
