Urban Adventure Club is going to New Orleans!

New Orleans is world-renowned for its distinct music, Creole cuisine, unique dialect, and its annual celebrations and festivals, most notably Mardi Gras. The city has been described as the "most unique" in the United States, owing in large part to its cross-cultural and multilingual heritage. We will explore this cultural gem over 6 days and 5 nights. This adventure will have it all. Amazing food, unique drinks, world-class music, unbelievable nightlife, nature excursions, and much more!

The historic heart of the city is the French Quarter, known for its French and Spanish Creole architecture and vibrant nightlife along Bourbon Street. We will begin our explorations in this area. However, we will also have plenty of time to explore many of the other up and coming neighborhoods in New Orleans, including Marigny, the Garden District, and Audubon. Included in the trip is a day trip to explore the bayou north of New Orleans, a popular spot for airboat tours to see live alligators.

To know what to expect on this trip, let's first talk about the nightlife. A trip to New Orleans is not complete without a visit to the famous/infamous Bourbon Street. This street is 13 blocks long, and is known for its high concentration of bars and strip clubs. Over 17 million visitors come through Bourbon Street each year, making it one of the top destinations in the world. We will spend a couple of nights here enjoying famous drinks such as the Hurricane and the hand grenade.

Next let's talk about the music. New Orleans has probably the best live music scene anywhere in the world. On any night of the week you can find world-class musicians playing at classic venues all over the city. We will spend a few nights bar hopping around Frenchmen street where the best live music can be found. However, you can often catch the most amazing shows on the street corners for free!

Of course we can't forget about the food. New Orleans is known for it's unique Creole cuisine, which is a combination of French, African, and Southern cuisines. The food is cooked with a unique blend of spices that you can't find anywhere else. The most famous style of eating is the crawfish boil. We will get to experience the best crawfish boil first hand in New Orleans. In addition to crawfish, you can try other famous New Orleans dishes such as gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish Etoufee, alligator sausages, and po'boy sandwiches.

We will also visit other food icons of New Orleans, including Cafe du Monde, famous for their beignets and coffee. This is a must stop for anyone traveling to New Orleans.

Let's not forget that New Orleans is surround by nature, and more importantly, alligators! We will take a day trip outside New Orleans to visit the bayou. There we will hop on an airboat and tour through the swamps looking for live alligators. If you're lucky you will get to hold a baby alligator in your hands!

A trip to New Orleans is not complete without a journey on the famous Mississippi river. The Mississippi is the largest river in the United States. New Orleans gains much of its significance because it is at the mouth of the river, acting as a major trade and transportation hub. We will take a river cruise on the Steamboat Natchez, and see a traditional paddle boat in action.

There is so much more to New Orleans that cannot be described in words. This is such an amazing, culturally rich experience that it will make you want to return over and over again. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity!
